IROIRO Creations offers different types of Japanese language and culture courses.
Online Private Tutoring
Our private tutoring is usually for one hour per week. The class will be designed according to each client’s needs.
For example, one of my clients is planning to go to a college in Japan. So we are using a textbook called “GENKI” and learning grammar, letters, as well as speaking skills.
Another of my clients would like me to help her writing letters in Japanese to her Japanese friends. We usually spend time together editing her letter in Japanese while explaining some useful grammar.
I would be more than happy to customize tutoring plans for your learning needs.
Online Group Lessons
We offer “Beginning Japanese Course 1”, which is 8 week course. Each class is for 2 hours and will be recorded. The recording will be shared on Google Classroom. Class materials including slides and flash cards can be accessed for one year after the course ends.

Japanese Kids Club (in person)
We offer “Japanese Kids Club” at our house in Northern Michigan. The Club is open from 4pm to 5:30pm on Mondays. During the club, we will learn basic Japanese greetings and Hiragana letters using Karuta games. As a snack, we will try some unique Japanese snacks. At the table, we also learn how to use chopsticks and how to eat like real Japanese person.
Japanese cooking Class (in person)
We offer “Sushi Rolls Class” at our house. You will learn how to make Sushi rolls and enjoy your creation at our table together. Authentic Japanese table manner will be taught as well.
We also offer “Miso Class” as well. As you may know Japanese people are very healthy. The secret is the fermented food we eat everyday. Miso (a fermented soy bean paste) is a staple food in Japan. KOJI is also very popular healthy food.
